Today was the day to make G. M. Bundy logo pop. I absolutely love the script of this instrument. Today was gilding day also performed an internal bore inspection and oiling. Getting close to assembly and regulation.
The inside bore was nice and clean. I noticed a spot or two in some tone hole crevices that just needed to be cleaned up a little better as they’re deep on the inside and hard to get too.
A quick bore inside and outside oiling to let it sit overnight as this wood is very thirsty.
Also installed pads using an amber shellac, so the keys are ready to go assembly and regulation next.
