Basic Service – Play-Condition Refresh is a COA-style service for getting a clarinet back into reliable playing condition without doing a full repad. It is designed for instruments that need cleaning, adjustment, and a small amount of spot work rather than a complete mechanical rebuild.
This service includes:
– Full inspection and leak check.
– Cleaning of tone holes, body, and keys.
– Key oiling and light bore oiling for wood clarinets.
– Replacement of up to about four worn pads or corks on non-linked, independent keys only.
– Reseating or adjustment of additional pads where possible.
– Full regulation and play-test.
This is not a full repad; only worn pads and corks on independent keys are replaced as needed. The four-pad allowance does not include linked lower-joint work such as the crow’s-foot cluster, right-hand ring keys, G♯/E♠linkage, or bridge-driven pads. If linked pads are at fault, the job must be upgraded to Lower Joint Repad – Pads & Linked Key Regulation or Standard Repad & Mini Overhaul.
